Falling in Love with the Future by Professor Miquel Lladó

I am not an ardent reader of books. But recently I received a book gift from Professor Miquel Lladó of IESE Business School, whom I met when he led an unique experiential learning session on ‘Developing High Performance Teams: The Barca Experience’. His session is rated as excellent by the participants in our flagship ASEAN Global Leadership Program (AGLP), conducted in collaboration with IESE in its Barcelona campus. I thought it is a good book worth sharing with my friends and LinkedIn contacts. Here is my message to Professor Llado in reciprocation of the book gift.
Dear Miquel,
I want to thank you for the thoughtful book gift, “Falling in Love with the Future”. It is just a 145-page book, yet it takes time for me to finish reading the book. Because it compels me to reflect and relate on the simple yet powerful messages and the down to earth real-life experiences that you shared in the book. I have to re-read the lines when the messages started to sink in! As I reflect and relate, I am stimulated and enlightened by the realisation that I thought I have learned much over the years, but perhaps missing some important points in the process, or taking them for granted in the process of building and growing my business (and our people). I will share my insights and reading experience when I finish reading your book… which may take a while. But many thanks again for giving me an opportunity to read your book, and not just having it displayed in my book shelf as a collection of autographed books. Till we meet again, let’s keep writing the future, not just reading it….
