Scholarship for ASEAN Business Award Winners to Attend ASEAN Global Leadership Program in USA

ASEAN Business Advisory Council and SRW&Co. signed a MOA in June this year to forge a strategic partnership. As per the MOA, SRW&Co. agreed to grant 3 scholarships to the ASEAN Business Award winner of the ‘Young Entrepreneur’, ‘Woman Entrepreneur’ and the ‘Best Innovative SME’ categories to attend the ASEAN Global Leadership Program (AGLP) in 2017.
The ASEAN Global Leadership Program will be conducted in the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business from 8th-12th May, 2017 (Press Release - AGLP USA 2017). A group of 30 senior executives from the Southeast Asian countries comprising C-suite and top policy makers and regulators are expected to attend the program. The theme of the program is “Shaping our Future as Leaders of Innovation” which will cover the key topics on Globalization, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Leadership.
In the 5-day program, the participants will be exposed to the latest thinking and cutting edge methodologies and tools in Design Thinking to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in their organizations. The program will include visits to companies like Google and Autodesk in the Silicon Valley. There will be a lot of reciprocated learning between the faculty and the participants and among the participants themselves.
In the ASEAN Global Leadership Program from 8th-12th May 2017, there will be a moderated panel discussion with the 3 ASEAN Business Award Winners to share their experiences and insights as innovators and entrepreneurs in their respective countries. The 3 Award winners are Ms. Win Win Tint of City Mart Holding, Myanmar (Young Entrepreneur award winner), Ms. Anusia Ramasamy of VG Offshore Containers, Malaysia (Woman Entrepreneur award winner) and Mr. JD Abenaza of Zeenoh Incorporation, Philippines (Best Innovative SME award winner).
